Sad news: wednesday february 27th 2008 an unfortunate fire burnt down a well known, loved and historic venue to the ground. At 6:30 am firefighters recieved a call that the golden west saloon in downtown albuquerque was burning! the fire was controlled around 10:00 am but by this time it was to late. the golden west had seen betterdays. the fire also damaged 2 other heavily used music venus in downtown albuquerque, new mexico the el ray theater and the launchpad. the launch pad is known for alot of touring acts such as kingspade, horror pops, hemlock and many more local and and well known acts. as for the local scene many acts will miss the golden west for years of good shows and memories. as for the club owner, well she was fucking stupid and didnt known how to run a club but anyway back to the important stuff. the launchpad will be shut down for a few months for damage repairs we're not to sure as of when it will re-open but we are hoping soon! Rumor has it that sceduled shows will be moved to the albuquerque convention center for the time being. Severe wants to say goodbye and R-I-P to the golden west saloon. to take a look at the past: Wicked D-/DUB C was infact the first hip hop/rap act to grace the stage of the golden west a venue that mostly acomidates rock and metal acts. so where saying goodbye to a venue who invited us in and let us perform. thank you. that is it for now this is the news from Johnny Random!

  -double shot of UC
unusual content will be playing 2 shows in the same night at 2 different venues on friday the 13th. the 1st show will be held at the compound located at 3206 san mateo (@candelaria) and the 2nd show will be held downtown at the district bar on 115 fourth.
doors open at 7:00pm for the compound with a $5 dollar admission
and UC will play their second set at 11:00 at the district for the emegenza festival with $12 dollar admission.

thats right unusual content is featured in this months issue of 'no cover' magazine. the magazine is in stores right now (look for the magazine with travis from blink 182 on the cover). U.C. is featured in the ''band watch'' section and they are also featured on the free cd sampler that comes with the magazine. you can pick up the magazine for a measly $4 dollars at your local hastings and barnes & noble stores, as well as other stores that sell rock magazines.

V.N.-unusual content takes 1st place-
thats right the UC has taken 1st place again for their night for emergenza festival. wicked d and the boys rocked the show the other night @ the launchpad and had that muh' fuckin' place roaring! the crowd was packed deep and the mosh pits were crazy to say the least. everyone got hype for the show even the people that were there to see other bands! being the last band to play and taking the stage shortly before midnight you'd think people would have already been tired out and wouldnt care about the last band, but nope! that place went fuckin crazy when the UC hit the stage, people were chanting UC! UC! UC! and everyone was srceaming and had there hands up and showing mad love for unusual content. when it was all said and done UC had recieved 133 votes for the night, thats right 133! destroying the competition with no competition. if you missed it, that sucks for you because it was off the hook. the SHAP staff would like to thank everyone that came out and supported us and unusual content. we will return shortly with info on the next show!
